To compare the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and compression therapy in the prevention of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy


ABSTRACT: Interventions: Control group:The control group was given routine nursing measures, including: ? patients were told to keep warm and avoid contact with cold objects, metal products, cold air, etc.; ? Light diet, avoid spicy stimulation; ? Reduce the skin friction of the limbs, and do not apply irritating liquids and ointments. ;Chinese medicine fumigation group:In the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation group, on the basis of the treatment of the control group, Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction was added, provided by the Chinese Medicine Library of Jiangsu Province Hospital of the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, with two packs of one dose. Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing was given the day before each chemotherapy: Put a package of Chinese medicine decoction into the basin of hands and feet fumigation and washing, then add 1000ml of hot water, adjust the water temperature to 38-40?, soak and rinse the upper limbs in the liquid medicine for 30 minutes, soak the wrist joint above, and then soak the feet in the same way, soak the liquid medicine above the ankle joint, 1 dose a day. The intervention was given once a night for 14 days as a course of treatment, and a total of 4 courses of intervention were required.;Compression therapy group:The compression therapy group was treated with compression therapy on the basis of the treatment of the control group. According to previous studies [4], on the day of each chemotherapy, patients wore grade ? (20-30mmHg) elastic cuffs and elastic stocsocks on their hands and feet from 30 minutes before the beginning of intravenous infusion of oxaliplatin chemotherapy drugs to 30 minutes after the end of intravenous infusion of oxaliplatin, and the intervention lasted for 4 cycles of chemotherapy.
