A study on the surgical site infection according to the type of bowel cleansing used in patients before colorectal cancer surgery

Project description:Interventions: Drug : After the written consent to participate in the study on the day before surgery, we randomly divided into two groups using computer. In control group, take Picosolution 170mL and 500mL of water at 3 pm on the day before surgery. After 3 hours, tace Picosolution 170mL and 500mL of water. In study group, take Clicool powder and 1L of water at 3 pm on the day before surgery. After 2 hours, take Clicool powder and 1 L of water. Then drink 1L of water for 1 hour. Project description:Interventions: split-dose PEG-ELS combination with Lubiprostone 3 times by specifying as follows; 2 days before colonoscopy 1 capsule of Lubiprostone at 6.00 a.m. then took 1 capsule of Lubiprostone at 6 p.m. Day before colonoscopy - 1 capsule of Lubiprostone at 6.00 a.m. The subjects would receive 1 sachet of PEG-ELS mixed with 2 liters of water, which the patients had to take all within 2 hours at 6:00 p.m. Lastly, on the colonoscopy day, the subjects received 1 sachet of PEG-ELS mixed with 2 liters of water and took it all in 2 hours at 4.00 a.m. on the day of the colonoscopy.,split-dose PEG-ELS before colonoscopy day, patients had to take 1 sachet of PEG-ELS with 2 Liter of water at 6 p.m. and 1 sachet of PEG-ELS with 2 Liter of water at 4 a.m. on the day of the colonoscopy.;Active Comparator Drug,Placebo Comparator Drug;split-dose PEG-ELS combination with Lubiprostone 3 times ,split-dose PEG-ELS combination Primary outcome(s): the Ottawa bowel preparation score Colonoscopy day proportion of adequate bowel cleansing Study Design: Randomized

Monocytes were activated using NOD2L (MDP) and the TLR2/1L (19kD, triacylated peptide). Cells were harvested before activation (0h) and 6h and 24h after stimulation with ligands.

Gene expression profiling in peanut using oligonucleotide microarrays

Project description:Transcriptome expression analysis in peanut to date has been limited to a relatively small set of genes and only recently have moderately significant number of ESTs has been released into the public domain. Utilization of these ESTs for the oligonucleotide microarrays provides a means to investigate large-scale transcript responses to a variety of developmental and environmental signals, ultimately improving our understanding of plant biology. We have developed a high-density oligonucleotide microarray for peanut using approximately 47,767 publicly available ESTs and tested the utility of this array for expression profiling in a variety of peanut tissues. To identify putatively tissue-specific genes and investigate the utility of this array, we compared transcript levels in pod to peg, leaf, stem, and root tissues. Results from this experiment showed a number of putatively pod-specific/abundant genes, as well as transcripts whose expression was low or undetected in pod compared to either peg, leaf, or stem. Keywords: Peanut tissue-specific gene expression We used Agilent peanut gene chips (017430) to identify putative tissue-specific genes and investigate the utility of the array for expression profiling of various peanut tissues. Pod, leaf, stem, peg and root tissues of the peanut genotype Flavrunner 458 were used in the study. Field grown plants under normal irrigation were used for sample collection. Three replications of microarray experiments were carried out by hybridizing the cRNA from pod tissue and cRNA from leaf, stem, peg and root tissues on the same dual color oligonucleotide arrays.
