RNA changes in the cortex of 1-month old ICR mice overexpressing microRNA142-GFP compared to controls overexpressing tdtomato in the cortical neurons as determined by mRNA deep sequencing.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The overall goal of the project is to assess the mRNA alterations in the cortex of mice overexpressing microRNA142 (miR142). The wildtype ICR mice were electroporated with miR142-GFP plasmid DNA construct and tdtomato plasmid DNA control construct at embryonic day 14.5 (E14.5) using the technique in-utero electroporation (IUE). At this age, only cortical neurons get electroporated. At one-month of age, the cortices of these mice were evaluated for the global expression of mRNAs by mRNA deep sequencing. The levels of several mRNAs were altered. Ingenuity pathway network analysis (IPA) was performed on differentially altered mRNAs.
