Sexual selection on the dynamics of accessory gland gene expression in maturing Drosophila males
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We measured size gene expression of the accessory glands (the main production site of SFPs) at 2 and 4 days after eclosion in D. melanogaster males from six populations subjected to >160 generations of experimental evolution under either enforced monogamy (no male-male competition, 3 populations) or sustained polygamy (intense male-male competition, 3 populations).
