Transcriptome profiling reveals of a new cell line based model system of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis model
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To address the motor neuron-specific degeneration in Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a fatal neurodegenerative disease, we used a unique mouse stem cell differentiation system to induce cranial (NIP) and spinal motor neuron (NIL) populations. The differentiation method is published at PMID: 31157617. We monitored transcriptome changes in the two cell lines in the presence and absence of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress (mock and cyclopiazonic acid treatment). We used Nextseq 500 for sequencing and our data comprises expression profiles for ~13,800 transcripts.
