Gata3 controls stem/progenitor maintenance potential in prostate organoids
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The adult stem/progenitor cell maintenance in the prostate is regulated by a balance between BMP5 self-renewal signal and GATA3 dampening activity. Here we report that the transcription factor GATA3 controls basal stem/progenitor cell maintenance in the prostate by directly controling the expression of BMP5, a key effector of this activity.
