Transcriptomic Analysis of Wheat Seedling Responses to the Systemic Acquired Resistance Inducer N-Hydroxypipecolic Acid
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This experiment is to assess global changes of wheat gene expression in response to N-hydroxypipecolic acid (NHP), which is an inducer of plant systemic accquired resistance. Six plates (24 seeds per plate) of wheat (Triticum aestivum) cultivar Zhongyuan 98-68 were planted under 25ºC incubator. After three days, three plates of seedlings were treated with 1 μL 1 mM NHP per seedling, called as NHP-rep 1,2,3. The other three were treated with water and used as the control group (called as water-rep 1,2,3). The coleoptiles were collected after one day after the treatment. Each plate serves as a biological replicate for its treatment group for RNA sequencing.
