Muscle Transcriptional Networks Linked to Resistance Exercise Training Hypertrophic Response Heterogeneity
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Bulk polyA-RNAseq was performed on vastus lateralis muscle samples from older adults ≥65y at baseline and post-14 wk resistance exercise training (high-low-high intensity). The primary study used network biology algorithms to create gene networks of highly connected transcripts, and then linked these to change in muscle size induced by exercise training.
