In vitro expansion of muscle stem cells derived from pluripotent stem cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We have developed a method to generate muscle stem cells from pluripotent stem cells via teratoma formation. We further find these cells are functionally expandable in vitro while retaining their in vivo regenerative potential. The goal of this study is to compare the transcriptome of fresh and expanded teratoma-derived myogenic cells versus satellite cells.
