Characterizing the molecular-physiological basis of pollen abortion upon prolonged high temperature stress


ABSTRACT: We evaluated the transcriptomic response of developing tomato anthers to long-term mild heat (LTMH-) stress. Our results indicated changes in HSR-, carbohydrate-, and phytohormone-related gene expression and a delayed reduction in tapetum-related gene expression.
