Lactate treatment regulates transcriptome of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs)

ABSTRACT: We treated mESCs with 50mM lactate to examine its impact on mESC transcriptome. Interestingly, we found that lactate supplementation activated both germline genes and cleavage embryo genes, indicating that lactate supplementation expands transcriptional network in mouse ESCs.
