Intermediate filaments are regulators organismal lifespan in C. elegans

ABSTRACT: Purpose: Try to find out whether germline loss retards the normal somatic aging Methods: Employed transcriptome analysis in both young and aged germline-deficient animals and identified genes that are normally decreased during aging in wild-type (WT) worms but are well maintained in aged germline-deficient animals Results: Compared with D1, there were 1834 genes downregulated at D6, while only 441 genes showed increased expression

ORGANISM(S): Caenorhabditis elegans
