Transcriptome sequencing data analysis of Bacillus methylotrophicus B-9987 wild-type strain and bm0677 mutant strain
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In the pre-laboratory study, a GntR family regulatory gene bm0677 was discovered. In this study, we found that colony morphology of the bm0677 mutant strain was changed. And the ability to produce biofilm of the mutant in MSgg solid and liquid medium was repressed, which proposed that this gene was involved in regulation of biofilm formation. Then we used transcriptome sequencing (RNA-Seq) to analyze how the regulator Bm0677 was involved in the regulation of biofilm formation. For the statistically significant differential expression (P < 0.001), there were 644 genes up-regulated and 810 genes down-regulated by at least two folds when comparing Δbm0677 to the wild-type strain.
