ABSTRACT: According to RNA-seq results, application of vitamin D in the form of 25(OH)D in swine diet can be beneficial for myogenesis, energy production and muscle fibre formation by influencing TOR signalling pathway. However, the use of vitamin D in the form of 25(OH)D may reduce muscle respiratory capacity.
