Genome-wide comparative methylation analysis reveals the fate of germ stem cells after surrogate production in teleost
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Surrogate production technologies in fish by germ stem cell transplantation into the sterile recipient is becoming popular but lacks epigenetic information of the donor-derived gametes. In our study, we have thoroughly investigated and compared the genome-wide DNA methylation pattern of donor-derived gametes, and the progeny derived from them in two different types of chimera (interspecific and intraspecific) with the donor strain.
