ABSTRACT: Cell culture confluency affects gene expression profiles of human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). High-confluency MSCs are enriched in pathways that confer them a more immunosuppressive phenotype as compared to low-confluency MSCs.
