Effect of mccc-1(ww4) mutation on gene expression in Caenorhabditis elegans at young adult stage fed on Comamonas aquatica DA1877

ABSTRACT: mccc-1(ww4) mutant animals has no obvious developmental defect, but we observed different abundance of many metabolites by LC-MS/MS analysis. Then, we assumed different metabolite abundance is associated with different metabolic gene expression, sucha that RNA-seq was performed to examine differently expressed gene.

Project description:We provide an atlas of gene and protein expression in Arabidopsis root hair cells, generated by paired-end RNA-seq and LC/MS-MS analysis from protoplasts that carry the root hair-specific pEXP7-GFP reporter construct. In total, transcripts from 23,234 genes were detected in root hairs; those related to cell wall biosynthesis and translation differed most dramatically in abundance when compared to non-GFP root protoplasts.

Examination of protein expression patterns of closely related Salmonella serovars using 2D GE and MS/MS

Project description:The objective of the present investigation was to consider the level of variation in the protein expression patterns of closely related Salmonella serovars, in order to search for protein factors with levels of expression or posttranslational modifications characteristic for each serovar. For the comparative expression analysis we have utilised classic 2D GE approach which revealed several proteins with serovar specific expression as well as proteins which do not alter their expression levels between serovars and strains. The proteins of interest were identified using LC/MS/MS. Keywords: 2D GE, MS/MS Analysis of 12 strains of S. enterica representing five different serovars.
