Effect of SET knock down on human osteosarcoma cell line HOS gene expression
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: SE translocation (SET) functions as an inhibitory protein of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), an important tumor suppressor, and contributes to the maintenance of stemness in various cancers. In the present study, we used the Tet on system to suppress SET expression in the osteosarcoma cell line HOS in a doxycycline-dependent manner and analyzed its effect on gene expression. The results revealed that SET is involved in mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) and B-lymphoma Moloney murine leukemia virus insertion region-1 (Bmi-1).
