Transcriptome of mkk1-mkk2 mutants

ABSTRACT: au08-02_mkk1-mkk2 - mkk1-mkk2 - Functional redundancy of the two MAPKKs MKK1 and MKK2. - mkk1 and mkk2 k.o. plants were crossed. Seedlings homozygous for mkk1 and/or mkk2, in parallel with control wild type seedlings, were grown on sterile medium. RNA was extracted from non-treated seedlings. aRNA was synthesised using the Ambion aRNA kit. Transcriptome data will be compared with those from a (already available) microarray of a mutant lacking the MAPKKkinase that is upstream of MKK1 and MKK2 (MEKK1).

Changes in gene expression in MKK2 and MKKKC5 mutants

Project description:The mkkkC5 mutant, a knockout line of MAPKKKC5, shows changes in growth and development, as well as an altered Alternaria sensitivity. It was shown by Brader and Djamei et al.(2007) that Alternaria brassicicola sensitivity is also influenced by MKK2-activity. Aim of this experiment is to access the transcriptional changes in the mkkkc5plants as well as in plants overexpressing a constitutively active MKK2-version (MKK2EE). The second part of the experiment addresses transcriptional changes in these plants after Alternaria brassicicola infection. This SuperSeries is composed of the SubSeries listed below.
