Comprehensive Analysis of Differentially Expressed LncRNAs associated with Lipid Metabolism in Patients with Colorectal Cance
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers in the world, and its causes are related to diet and obesity. Currently, crosstalk between fat metabolism and CRC has been reported, but the specific mechanism of crosstalk remains to be further studied. In this study, we screened Differentially Expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs from primary cancer tissue, paracancer tissue and white adipose tissue of patients with CRC.Then, by screening and analyzing the genes which differed between primary and paracancer tissues, as well as between paracancer tissues and white adipose tissue, but not between primary and white adipose tissue, we found that lncRNA (MIR503HG) may be involved in the cross-talk between CRC and lipid metabolism through exosome delivery. Although our sample were limited, this study raises the possibility of cross-talk between lipid metabolism and CRC through exosome delivery of lncRNAs.
