The Effects of Complement in a Chronic Murine Model of Inflammatory Erosive Arthritis and Pulmonary Vascular Disease
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Dysfunction of the complement pathway contributes to diseases such rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and pulmonary hypertension (PH). Here we aim to determine whether complement deficiency has a protective effect on joint and lung disease using the tumor necrosis factor-transgenic (TNF-Tg) mouse model with constitutive human TNF-ɑ expression characterized by spontaneous onset of inflammatory-erosive arthritis and PH.
