ABSTRACT: Genetic disruption of thioredoxin reductase 1 protects against acetaminophen (APAP) toxicity. To determine the role of the thioredoxin system on xenobiotic metabolism we challeneged wildtype and txnrd1liver-null mice with acetaminophen.
