Fibrocyte Differentiation, Isolation Methods, and Related Cells

ABSTRACT: Fibrocytes from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated using the vacutainer method and allowed to differentiate under cultured conditions for 14 days with harvesting occuring at days 0, 1, 7, and 14. Fibrocytes isolated using the lysis method were differentiated and collected on day 14. The following cell types related to fibrocytes were additionally analyzed: bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells, dermal fibroblasts, and human vocal fold fibroblasts
