ABSTRACT: This dataset consists of 33 raw MS files and associated peak lists and result files, acquired on an Orbitrap Fusion Tribrid mass spectrometer operated in Data Dependent Acquisition mode. The files are associated with a manuscript submitted for publication by Antoine Meant et al. titled: RSK promotes p120-catenin phosphorylation and regulates cell-cell adhesion in melanoma. The manuscript defines the proximity interactome of RSK kinases and a new phosphorylation of p120catenin (CTNND1) and the consequences of this phosphorylation on CTNND1 proximity interactomes. Experiments are proximity-dependent biotinylation (BioID), all performed in biological triplicates with associated negative controls. Philippe Roux is the corresponding author of the manuscript philippe.roux at umontreal.ca. The manuscript is published in MCP: https://www.mcponline.org/content/early/2019/11/02/mcp.RA119.001811.

The RAS/mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway regulates various biological functions, including cell survival, proliferation and migration. This pathway is frequently deregulated in cancer, including melanoma, which is the most aggressive form of skin cancer. RSK (p90 ribosomal S6 kinase) is a MAPK-activated protein kinase required for melanoma growth and proliferation, but relatively little is known about its function and the nature of its cellular partners.
