Daptomycin is a cyclic lipopeptide antibiotic that targets the lipid membrane of Gram-positive bacteria. Membrane fluidity and charge can affect daptomycin activity, but its mechanisms are poorly understood because it is challenging to study daptomycin interactions within lipid bilayers.
