Hypoxia-induced mitogenic factor (HIMF) is a newly discovered protein that is up-regulated in murine models of pulmonary arterial hypertension and asthma. Our previous study shows that HIMF is a potent mitogenic, angiogenic, and vasoconstrictive chemokine associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
