The nuclear proteome of Plasmodium falciparum results from the continual shuttle of proteins between the cell cytoplasm-nucleus and vice versa. Using shotgun proteomics tools, we explored the nuclear proteins of mixed populations of Plasmodium falciparum extracted from infected erythrocytes.
