Systematic analysis of MYC regulators identifies AKIRIN2 as an essential mediator of nuclear proteasome import

ABSTRACT: AKIRIN2 is an essential negative regulator of MYC protein levels. To test the specificity of AKIRIN2-dependent MYC regulation we performed unbiased protein quantification after inducible AKIRIN2- or Proteasome knockout und identified subsets of proteins accumulating after loss of AKIRIN2, Proteasomes or both.
