The proteomic landscape of sperm surface deciphers the maturational and functional aspects of buffalo
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The present study was undertaken to elucidate the sperm surface proteome of buffalo using LC-MS/MS for determining the functional significance of surface proteins. The spermatozoa were subjected to elevated salt treatment (2X-DPBS) for 30 min, PI-PLC treatment for 2 hours and in vitro capacitation for 6 hours to determine the changes in the observed proteome vis-à-vis appropriate controls. The controls were run along with the treatments.
