Acetylomics reveals an extensive acetylation diversity within Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This dataset provides information on acetylome changes in Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 upon overexpression of an unspecified gene. These changes were measured using SILAC in combination with LC-MS/MS. However, in the paper that is supported by this dataset, we focused solely on the non-overexpressed condition. In this condition, we found a total of 1,076 unique identified sites in 508 proteins. A subsequent comparison with available P.aeruginosa strain PA14 acetylomes revealed extensive acetylation diversity with this species. In addition, a broader comparison with other bacterial acetylomes revealed that high acetylation levels for transcriptional related proteins are shared across bacterial species.
