2009-2011 cholera outbreak in Papua New Guinea caused by atypical Vibrio cholerae El Tor

ABSTRACT: Two Vibrio cholerae isolates from the 2009-2011 cholera outbreak in Papua New Guinea have been sequenced. These two isolates are representative of near clonal set of isolates obtained during the outbreak. The genomes were sequenced using the WGS strategy. Read sets were produced on the Illumina sequencing platform (100b, PE). Genome read coverage is ~100x.
