Effect of Blastocystis ST3 on rat gut microbiota before and after DNBS-induced colitis

ABSTRACT: In this study, we infected rat with the intestinal protist Blastocystis ST3 and measure the impact on the gut microbiota. To characterised the gut microbiota, we amplified the V4 region of the 16s rRNA gene according to the EMP protocol and sequence were amplified using Illumina Miseq.
