Project description:The transcriptome of P. aeruginosa PA01 biofilm cells was compared to the associated suspended culture, upon growth on reverse osmosis membrane coupon under limited nutrient conditions. Keywords: growth in reverse osmosis unit and on reverse osmosis membrane
Project description:The transcriptome profiling five tissues of juvenile Eriocheir sinensis, including gill, muscle, thoracic ganglion, eyestalk and hepatopancreas, were sequenced to get the basic dataset for constructed a genome-scale metabolic network model for E. sinensis. The model was used to predict the optimal nutrient requirements of E. sinensis in feed and suggestions for feed improvement were put forward based on the simulation results.
Project description:Investigation of whole genome gene expression level changes in the youngest expanded leaves of open-pollinated Golden Delicious seedlings either sprayed with reverse osmosis water or acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM). Treatment was performed by spraying sprayed to runoff (with a pressurized hand sprayer) with the commercial product Bion 50 WG (Syngenta, Basel, Switzerland; 50% of ASM) prepared in reverse osmosis water at a final concentration of 0.4 g/L. The youngest developped leaf of each seedling was sampled 3 days after the treatment.
Project description:Transcriptional profile of stress in fission yeast (S. pombe) cells. Five different types of stress were employed on wild type and mutant cells (sty1 and atf1 knock-out cells). The 5 stresses were heat, and four types of compound: heavy metal, oxidation, alkylation and osmosis.
Project description:Investigation of whole genome gene expression level changes in the youngest expanded leaves of GDDH13 grafted scions either sprayed with reverse osmosis water or acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM) either exposed to control temperature (21°C/day ; 18°C/night) or three successive heat days (35°C for 4 h during the day ; 18°C/night). The morning of the third heat day, treatment was performed by spraying to runoff (with a pressurized hand sprayer) with the commercial product Bion 50 WG (Syngenta, Basel, Switzerland; 50% of ASM) prepared in reverse osmosis water at a final concentration of 0.4 g/L. All plants were then returned to control thermal conditions (21°C/day ; 18°C/night) for 2 days. The youngest developped leaf of each plant was sampled 72 hours after the treatment.
Project description:The transcriptome of P. aeruginosa PA01 biofilm cells was compared to the associated suspended culture, upon growth on reverse osmosis membrane coupon under limited nutrient conditions. Experiment Overall Design: Cells were collected from the RO unit and from the membrane coupon after 20 hours of growth and biofouling of the membrane. A defined media was used, resembeling secondary wastewaters.
