Project description:Proteomic analysis of the microbiome of beetle intestinal content from wood eating beetles as related to lignocellulose deconstruction and colony subsistence
Project description:Expression profiling analyses for 5 maize inbreds and 4 hybrids, chosen to represent diversity in genotypes and heterosis responses, revealed a correlation between genetic diversity and transcriptional variation. This is a companion dataset to an Affymetrix profiling experiment (GEO Series GSE10236). Keywords: Genotype comparison series Expression profiling was used to study gene expression in aerial tissue from 11-day seedlings of maize. Three biological replicates were performed for nine different genotypes; B37, B73, B84, Mo17, Oh43, B37xB73, B84xB73, Oh43xB73 and Oh43xMo17.
Project description:Alternative splicing (AS) is an important regulatory mechanism that greatly contributes to eukaryotic transcriptome diversity. A substantial amount of evidence has demonstrated that AS complexity is relevant to eukaryotic evolution, development, adaptation, and complexity. In this study, six teosinte and ten maize transcriptomes were sequenced to analyze AS changes and signatures of selection in maize domestication and improvement.
Project description:This study examines gene expression differences between infected larvae from different maternal infection backgrounds to try to understand the immunological basis of invertebrate immune priming. Female Tribolium castaneum beetles were either jabbed with sterile saline, heat killed Bt, or left naïve. 15 Offspring from the first and second broods were infected with Bt and 24 hours later pooled by treatment and flash frozen Beetles from saline and primed maternal backgrounds are compared to naïve infected

Same naïve sample used for both arrays
Project description:We explored the gene expression profiles of developing maize kernel by RNA sequencing. Our purpose was to explore the sequence diversity across the inbred lines, especially in the gene regions, and to discover the gene regulatory networks employed in immature maize kernels.
Project description:We report the application of DNA sequencing technology for high-throughput sequencing of mix bis-PCR products totally 38 based on bisulfate treated DNA from human, chimpanzee, gibbon, macaque and crab eating macaque profrontal cortex tissues. Mix bisulfate PCR products from 1 tissues, 23 individula humans, 2 individual chimpanzees, 1 individual gibbons, 7 individual rhesus macaques and 5 crab eating macaques were sequenced by using MiSeq
