Project description:S100PBP is significantly down-regulated in pancreatic cancer compared to normal samples. The functional roles of S100PBP are unknown, and therefore, profiling cells over-expressing this gene may lead to further understanding of its functional mechanisms.
Project description:S100PBP is significantly down-regulated in pancreatic cancer compared to normal samples. The functional roles of S100PBP are unknown, and therefore, profiling cells over-expressing this gene may lead to further understanding of its functional mechanisms. We have performed microarray gene expression analysis of FA6 cells over-expressing S100PBP to vector-only control cells to gain clues on the cellular functions of S100PBP.
Project description:We have developed an in vitro model of Ngn3-dependent differentiation by infecting pancreatic duct cell lines with an Ngn3-expressing adenovirus. We used glass microarrays containing 18,000 mouse cDNAs and compared gene expression patterns in mPAC L20 cells infected with either AdCMV-gal (control) or AdCMV-ngn3. All comparisons were performed 48 h after viral infection, meaning that genes differentially expressed in Ngn3-expressing mPAC cells could include genes whose expression was directly or indirectly controlled by Ngn3.
Project description:The overexpression of DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs) is a common hallmark of numerous cancers. These aberrant changes in DNA methylation profiles are correlated to the overexpression of DNMTs. Although this association is clearly demonstrated, the causal role of DNMT overexpression in pancreatic cancer has not been clearly established. Consequently, we decided to determine whether DNMT overexpression induces diffrent methylation patterns in non-cancerous pancreatic cells.
Project description:Transcriptome analysis of EYA2 non-expressing pancreatic cancer cell lines with stable transfectant overexpressing EYA2 We analyzed Panc2.5 and Panc3.014 stable transfectant (overexpressing EYA2) and control (empty pcDNA6.2/cLumio-DEST vector) cell transcriptomes using the Affymetrix Exon Array ST1.0 platform. Statistical analysis of gene expression array data was completed with Partek Genomic Suite 6.4 software.
