Project description:We performed gene expression profiling of laser capture microdissected normal non-neoplastic prostate (cystoprostatectomies) epithelial tissue and compared it to non-transformed and neoplastic low and high grade prostate epithelial tissue from radical prostatectomies, each with its immediately surrounding stroma.
Project description:The purpose of this study was to identify differentially expressed genes in laser-capture microdissected (LCM) invasive mammary carcinomas (IMCs). Invasive mammary carcinoma of the breast surgical resection specimens were laser capture microdissected for RNA extraction and hybridization to Affymetrix microarrays.
Project description:Gene expression profiling of immortalized human mesenchymal stem cells with hTERT/E6/E7 transfected MSCs. hTERT may change gene expression in MSCs. Goal was to determine the gene expressions of immortalized MSCs.
Project description:Affymetrix U133A comparison of two groups (10 samples each): untreated (androgen-dependent) primary prostate cancer (Gleasons 5-9) and androgen-independent primary prostate cancer. All samples were microdissected for tumor cells only. Keywords = advanced prostate cancer Keywords = androgen-independence Keywords = laser capture microdissection Keywords = RNA amplification Keywords: other
Project description:Histologically normal breast epithelium and stroma were laser capture microdissected from breast reduction specimens and from specimens of invasive ductal carcinoma. The objective of the study was to compare normal reduction tissues to tissues adjacent to I.D.C. to determine whether adjacent normal tissues contained expression profiles correlated with characteristics of the primary tumor and to identify markers of normal epithelium and stroma. Keywords: disease state analysis
