Project description:The goal of this study is to investigate the secretion from human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell, which effect to peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC). Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of co-cultured PBMC without human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines and co-cultured PBMC with human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines were generated datas by microarray technology. The Illumina Infinium MethylationEPIC BeadChip was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 850,000 CpGs in enhancer regions, gene bodies, promoters and CpG islands. Samples included duplicate PBMC of female control, duplicate PBMC of male control, duplicate PBMC of female were co-cultured with HT29, and duplicate PBMC of male were co-cultured with SW480.
Project description:Nitrogen is a key factor impacting plant physiological processes and protein abundance. Although many proteins were changed substantially in poplar under N deficiency, the post-translational modifications in male and female poplars are still unclear. Therefore, we selected male and female poplars and analysed the changes of protein phosphorylation in response to N-deficient conditions.
Project description:The purpose of this study is to determine the frequency of colorectal cancer in male and female endurance athletes between the ages of 35 and 50.
Project description:The concept of the CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) in colorectal cancers (CRCs) is widely accepted, though the timing of its occurrence and its interaction with other genetic defects early during carcinogenesis remains largely unknown. Our aim was to uncover the molecular evolution of CIMP CRCs through integrative analysis of endoscopic, histological and molecular signatures in precancerous and malignant colorectal lesions. A total of 84 endoscopically obtained human colorectal tumor was analyzed using Agilent CGH microarray. Copy number aberration was compared with clinicopathological features and DNA methylation status.
Project description:Gametocytes are obligate for the transmission of malaria parasite to mosquito. This study reports the first comprehensive proteomes of accurately separated mature male and female Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes using a transgenic line. the proteomes revealed significant differences that are consistent with the divergent functions of the two sexes. While the male proteome is enriched in proteins associated with flagella and genome replication, the female proteome is more abundant in proteins involved in metabolism, translation and organellar functions.
Project description:Whole brain gene expression profiling for Julidochromis transcriptus male vs. female and Julidochromis marlieri male vs female to identify sex-role biased and sex biased gene expression in these species that exhibit conventional and reversed sex-biased behavior respectively.
