Project description:HRE1 and HRE2 are two ERF transcription factors induced by low oxygen. In this work we analyzed the effect of ectopic expression of HRE1 and HRE2 on the arabidopsis transcriptome in aerobic and hypoxic (1% O2) conditions. While HRE1 has a moderate effect on the expression of anaerobic genes under hypoxia, HRE2 does not affect them either under aerobic or hypoxic conditions.
Project description:Few studies have investigated the properties and function of small extracellular vesicles (sEV) derived from neurons under hypoxic conditions; these sEV represent potential new strategies for neuroprotection or neuroregeneration after ischemic stroke. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of sEV derived from neurons under hypoxic conditions (HypEV) and those derived from neurons under normoxic conditions (NorEV).
Project description:Recent data support that sumoylation, the covalent attachment of the Small Ubiquitin-related MOdifier (SUMO) to proteins, is involved in the activation of the hypoxic response and the ensuing signalling cascade. To gain insights into differences of the SUMO1 and SUMO2/3 proteome of HeLa cells under normoxia and cells grown for 48 h under hypoxic conditions, we employed endogenous SUMO-immunoprecipitation in combination with quantitative mass spectrometry (SILAC).
