Project description:Non coding RNA (ncRNA), such as miRNA, lncRNA and circRNA, has been found to play an important role in the mechanism of plant defense against pathogens. Lychee downy blingt is the main disease of litchi fruit, inflorescence and leaf, which seriously affects the yield of lychee. In this study, we carried out a P.litchii infection experiment on lychee fruits and leaves, and the mRNA and ncRNA in the treated fruits and leaves were analyzed by whole-transcriptome RNA sequencing technology. our work will Provide new insights for the resistance of lychee downy blight .

Project description:Histone modifications mediate between genes and environment in plant growth and developmental events. To characterize the histone modification signatures in strawberry, we performed ChIP-seq experiments for seven histone marks in the immature and mature fruits, and leaves of the woodland strawberry F. vesca ('Ruegen'). The seven histone marks include H3K9/K14ac, H3K27ac, H3K4me1, H3K4me3, H3K36me3, H3K27me3 and H3K9me2. In addition, to reveal the effect of the histone deacetylase FvHDA6, H3K9/K14a was profiled in FvHDA6-OE fruits.
Project description:The size of tomato fruits are largely dependent on growth conditions. To obtain insights on how light intensity contributes to translocation from a leaf and a fruit, we developed a plant irradiation system based on light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to a leaf. By using this system, we investigated the changes of transcript profiles of tomato leaves and fruits grown under different light conditions.
Project description:Fruits and leaves of the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) cultivar MicroTom were investigated. MicroTom wild type and lecer6 mutant with a deficiency in a fatty acid beta-ketoacyl-CoA synthase (LeCER6) were used. The samples were composed of mature green, whole fruits with seeds being removed (fruit developmental category II). The locular tissue (gel) that surrounded the seeds and fills the locular cavity were detached. Otherwise, the samples contained fully developed leaves. After sampling point the plant material was immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80 C until use.
