Affymetrix Mouse Genome 430 2.0 expression arrays were used.

Analysis of 20-HETE supplementation in calorically restricted C57Bl6 mice

Project description:Proteomic dataset of 15 murine kidneys of 14-week-old male C57Bl6 mice. Mice were divided into 3 treatment groups four weeks prior to nephrectomy and 5 mice had ad libitum access to food and water, while another 10 mice received 30% food restriction. Calorically restricted mice either received intraperitoneal supplementation of 20-HETE or vehicle (EtOH in sodiumchloride 0.9%) for 8 days on a daily basis prior to nephrectomy. Ad libitum fed mice received vehicle injections for 8 days on a daily basis prior to nephrectomy.

Gene expression profiling of the ileum following vertical sleeve gastrectomy compared to pair-fed sham surgery controls in mice with high-fat diet-induced obesity.

Project description:We report the expression profiles of ileal samples extracted from obese male C57Bl6 mice following vertical sleeve gastrectomy or sham surgery, focusing of gene signatures indicative of altered bile acid metabolism. We induced obesity in male C57bl6 mice through a high-fat diet. At 8 weeks, they were submitted to either a vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) or a sham surgery; following surgery VSG mice were fed ad libitum while sham controls were pair-fed (SPF) to the experimental animals. During the four perioperative days, mice were fed a liquid Osmolite diet. Approximately 8 weeks after surgery mice were fasted overnight and gavaged with .5mL Osmolite; after one hour mice were sacrificed and the terminal ileum were extracted. RNA was extracted, quantified, and compared between VSG and SPF experimental groups.

Gene expression Tet-mev-1 mouse fed either normal diet or high fat high sucrose diet compared with wild type mouse

Project description:To assess the effect of steatosis and oxidative stress on progression of liver fibrosis, we have employed whole genome microarray expression profiling as a discovery platform to identify genes that are related with oxidative stress- and steatosis-induced hepatic fibrogenesis. When wild type mice were fed high-fat/high-sucrose diet for 24 weeks, expression of 69 genes was changed more than 10-fold compared with wild type animals fed normal diet, 11 of which were categorized to lipid metabolic process. Moreover, expression of 208 genes showed more than 5-fold changes in Tet-mev-1 mice fed high-fat/high-sucrose diet compared with the same transgenic animals fed normal diet, and gene ontology analyses indicated significant changes in chemokine activity and chemokine receptor binding as well as defense and immune responses.
