Daylight regulation of pulmonary gene expression in wild type mice
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Daylight is fundamental to human health and is organ protective in a PER2 dependent manner. Using a whole genome array from daylight exposed wildtype mice, we investigated light elicited pathways. Mice were exposed to intense light (10,000 LUX, Lightbox simulating day light, Uplift Technologies DL930 Day-Light 10,000 Lux SAD, full spectrum) for 7 days and compared to mice maintained at room light [200 LUX]. Mice were housed in a 14/10-h light-dark cycle to synchronize (entrain) the circadian clock of mice to the ambient light-dark cycle.
