ABSTRACT: Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is a disease with unclear immunologic triggers. This study shows that the pancreatic stellate cells are involved in the regulation of the immune response and can cause autoimmunity when the NF-κB signalling in these cells is disrupted.
