GSDMB is associated with several inflammatory diseases, such as asthma, sepsis and colitis. GZMA is released by cytotoxic lymphocytes and cleaves GSDMB at the K244 site and to induce GSDMB N-terminus dependent pyroptosis. This cleavage of GSDMB is noncell autonomous.
