Continuous-wave and pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy have been used to characterize two variants of bacterial sulfite dehydrogenase (SDH) from Starkeya novella in which the conserved active-site arginine residue (R55) is replaced by a neutral amino acid residue.
