Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Cu(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(7)H(10)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) ion, located on a crystallographic inversion centre, is six coordinated by two N atoms of two 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine (DMAP) ligands in apical positions and four O atoms from two symmetry-related opposite acetate anions, which are asymmetrically bonded in the equatorial plane. The complex and the crystal packing of the complex are stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, giving R(4) (2)(10) rings and generating a layer-like structure.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ni(C(7)H(5)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(12)N(2))(2)], the Ni(II) atom lies on a center of inversion and is coordinated in an octa-hedral geometry by two 2-(benzyl-amino)-pyridine (2-BAP) and two 2-formyl-phenolate ligands with the O-atom donors in the equatorial plane and the pyridine N atoms in axial positions. There are hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the secondary amine H atom and the phenolate O atom, as well as C-H⋯O inter-actions, which result in the dihedral angle between the aromatic phenyl ring of the 2-formyl-phenolate moiety and the pyridine ring being 80.23 (4)°. In the packing, there are both C-H⋯π inter-actions, which link the mol-ecules into chains along the b axis, and offset π-π inter-actions involving both the pyridine and phenyl rings of the 2-BAP ligands [centroid-centroid distances = 4.0100 (8) Å for the pyridine rings and 3.6601 (8) and 4.8561 (8) Å for the phenyl rings].

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Ni(C(8)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(H(2)O)], the Ni(II) atom is in a distorted octa-hedral arrangement, coordinated by three carboxylate O atoms from one bidentate 4-methyl-benzoate ligand and one monodentate 4-methyl-benzoate ligand, two N atoms from pyridine ligands, axially positioned, and a water mol-ecule. The equatorially positioned water mol-ecule and uncoordinated carb-oxylate O atom form an intra-molecular hydrogen bond. An inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the coordinated water mol-ecule and carboxylate O atom of the 4-methyl-benzoate ligand forms infinite chains along the b axis. These chains are connected by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(2)H(2)ClO(2))(2)(C(8)H(7)NO)(2)(CH(4)O)], the Cu(2+) ion has a highly distorted square-bipyramidal (4 + 1 + 1) coordination environment and is bonded to three carboxyl-ate O atoms of two chloro-acetate anions (monodentate and asymmetrically bidentate), two pyridine N atoms of 2-methyl-furo[3,2-c]pyridine and one methanol O atom. There is an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a three-dimensional network and π-π stacking inter-actions [3.44-3.83 Å] are observed between symmetry-related rings of 2-methyl-furo[3,2-c]pyridine. Further inter-actions in the crystal structure are a short Cl⋯Cl inter-action [3.384 (2)Å] and C-H⋯π inter-actions between 2-methyl-furo[3,2-c]pyridine rings.

Project description:The title Ni(II) complex, [Ni(C(8)H(8)NO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], is centrosymmetric with the Ni atom on an inversion center. The mol-ecule contains two 4-methyl-amino-benzoate (MAB) and two nicotinamide (NA) ligands and two coordinated water mol-ecules, all ligands being monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Ni atom form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the NA ligands in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the adjacent benzene ring is 2.09 (14)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 66.15 (4)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C(5)H(5)N(2)O(2)S)(2)(H(2)O)], the Ni(II) cation is located on a twofold rotation axis and chelated by two 2-amino-1,3-thia-zole-4-acetate (ata) anions in the basal coordination plane; a water mol-ecule located on the same twofold rotation axis completes the distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, as well as π-π stacking between parallel thia-zole rings [centroid-centroid distance 3.531 (8) Å], helps to stabilize the crystal structure.
