ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [AuCl(C(20)H(17)OP)], the phosphine acts as a monodentate ligand. The Au atoms are attached solely to the P and Cl atoms. The coordination is linear without any tendency to aggregate via aurophilic inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, [AuCl(C(19)H(17)P)], the Au(I) atom exists within a P and Cl donor set that constitutes an almost linear geometry. The three phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 38.33?(14), 81.26?(15) and 81.28?(14)° with each other. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into chains along the b axis by inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

A second polymorph of chlorido(hydroxy-diphenyl-phosphane)gold(I).

Project description:The title complex, [AuCl{(C(6)H(5))(2)P(OH)-?P}] or [AuCl(C(12)H(11)OP)], contains two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit and is a polymorph of a previously reported structure [Hollatz et al. (1999 ?) J. Chem. Soc. Dalton Trans. pp. 111-114]. The crystal structure exhibits inter-molecular Au?Au inter-actions with alternate distances of 3.0112?(3)?Å and 3.0375?(2)?Å. The Cl-Au-P bond angle varies between different mol-ecular units, depending on the degree of influence of the intra-molecular the O-H?Cl hydrogen bond; the angle thus varies between negligible distortion from linearity at 179.23?(3)° and more significant distortion at 170.39?(4)°, which differs from the previously reported polymorph in which both these angles are approximately 170°. The Au-Cl [2.3366?(9) and 2.3131?(10)Å] and Au-P [2.2304?(10) and 2.2254?(10)?Å] bond lengths vary slightly between the two independent mol-ecules but overall, the bond lengths are in good agreement with those in the previously reported polymorph.

Chlorido[1-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)cobaltocenium]gold(I) hexa-fluoridophosphate.

Project description:In the cobaltocenium group of the title compound, [AuCo(C(5)H(5))(C(17)H(14)P)Cl]PF(6), the substituted cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cps) and the unsubstituted cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring planes are almost parallel, making a dihedral angle of 3.1?(3)°. The C atoms in Cp and Cps are in an eclipsed conformation. The Au(I) atom is coordinated by a P atom from the diphenyl-phosphanyl group and a Cl atom in an almost linear arrangement [P-Au-Cl = 178.15-(7)°]. Two hexa-fluorido-phosphate anions are each located on a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, the complex cations and hexa-fluorido-phosphate anions are linked via inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds.

Crystal structure of 2-hy-droxy-2-phenyl-aceto-phenone oxime.

Project description:The title compound [systematic name: 2-(N-hy-droxy-imino)-1,2-di-phenyl-ethanol], C14H13NO2, consists of hy-droxy phenyl-aceto-phenone and oxime units, in which the phenyl rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 80.54 (7)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-HOxm⋯NOxm, O-HHydr⋯OHydr, O-H'Hydr⋯OHydr and O-HOxm⋯OHydr hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into infinite chains along the c-axis direction. π-π contacts between inversion-related of the phenyl ring adjacent to the oxime group have a centroid-centroid separation of 3.904 (3) Å and a weak C-H⋯π(ring) inter-action is also observed. A Hirshfeld surface analysis of the crystal structure indicates that the most important contributions for the crystal packing are from H⋯H (58.4%) and H⋯C/C⋯H (26.4%) contacts. Hydrogen bonding and van der Waals contacts are the dominant inter-actions in the crystal packing.

Crystal packing analysis of in situ cryocrystallized 2,2,2-tri-fluoro-aceto-phenone.

Project description:Crystals of the liquid compound 2,2,2-tri-fluoro-aceto-phenone (TFAP, C8H5F3O) were obtained using the state-of-art in situ cryocrystallization technique. TFAP crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c, and its crystal structure is mainly stabilized by a set of C-H?F, C-H?O, F?F and F?O supra-molecular contacts. The overall mol-ecular arrangement shows the formation of mol-ecular sheets parallel to the bc plane, which are in turn stacked along the a-axis direction. The weak inter-actions have been studied thoroughly, performing both a Hirshfeld surface analysis and theoretical calculations, to obtain the inter-molecular inter-action energies. A structural comparison of this compound with the previously reported substituted analogs was also carried out, showing a qualitative difference in terms of packing behaviour.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(9)H(9)NO(5), is close to planar (r.m.s. deviation from the mean plane of the non-H atoms = 0.058 Å). The OH group forms a bifurcated O-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bond, with the intra-molecular component to a nitro O atom and the inter-molecular component to a keto O atom, the latter resulting in chains along [20]. A C-H⋯O inter-action reinforces the packing.

Project description:In the organic mol-ecule of the title hydrate, C11H15N3OS·H2O, {systematic name: 3-ethyl-1-{(E)-[1-(2-hy-droxy-phen-yl)ethyl-idene]amino}-thio-urea monohydrate}, a dihedral angle of 5.39?(2)° is formed between the hy-droxy-benzene ring and the non-H atoms comprising the side chain (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0625?Å), with the major deviation from planarity noted for the terminal ethyl group [the C-N-C-C torsion angle = -172.17?(13)°]. The N-H H atoms are syn and an intra-molecular hy-droxy-imine O-H?N hydrogen bond is noted. In the crystal, the N-bonded H atoms form hydrogen bonds to symmetry-related water mol-ecules, and the latter form donor inter-actions with the hy-droxy O atom and with a hy-droxy-benzene ring, forming a O-H?? inter-action. The hydrogen bonding leads to supra-molecular tubes aligned along the b axis. The tubes are connected into layers via C-H?O inter-actions, and these stack along the c axis with no directional inter-actions between them.

Project description:In the title compound {systematic name: 4,4'-[1,1'-(hydrazinediyl-idene)bis-(ethan-1-yl-1-yl-idene)]bis-(benzene-1,3-diol)}, C16H16N2O4·2C3H7NO, the (E,E)-2',4'-di-hydroxy-aceto-phenone azine mol-ecule is centrosymmetric, the mid-point of the N-N bond being located on an inversion centre. All the non-H atoms of the azine mol-ecule are approximately coplanar, the maximum deviation being 0.017 (2) Å. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond occurs between the azine N atom and the hy-droxy group. In the crystal, azine and di-methyl-formamide solvent mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
