ABSTRACT: There are two mol-ecules with similar bond dimensions in the asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Re(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(CO)(3)(H(2)O)]. The metal centre is coordinated facially by three carbonyl groups, is chelated by a 4-carboxy-pyridine-2-carboxyl-ate ligand and is also coordinated by a water mol-ecule. O-H?O hydrogen bonds give rise to a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title complex, [Re(C(7)H(2)Br(3)O(2))(CO)(3)(H(2)O)]·CH(3)OH, crystallized as a neutral Re(I) compound and one methanol solvent mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The metal centre is coordinated facially by three carbonyl groups. The bidentate tribromo-tropolanate ligand and a water mol-ecule complete the distorted octahedral coordination around the central metal. Inter-molecular Br⋯O [3.226 (5) Å] and Br⋯Br [3.590 (2) Å] contacts are observed between adjacent mol-ecules. These contacts, together with an array of O-H⋯O, O-H⋯Br and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, complete a three-dimensional polymeric network formed between the methanol solvent and the complex.

Project description:The reaction of Zn(NO(3))(2) with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (pydcH(2)) and acridine (acr) in aqueous solution leads to the formation of the title compound, (C(13)H(10)N)[Zn(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(7)H(4)NO(4))]·5H(2)O or (acrH)[Zn(pydcH)(pydc)]·5H(2)O. In the title compound, the Zn(II) atom is coordinated by four O atoms and two N atoms from the tridentate chelating rings of (pydc)(2-) and (pydcH)(-) anions. The geometry of the resulting ZnN(2)O(4) coordination can be described as distorted octa-hedral. To balance the charges, one protonated acridine (acrH)(+) cation is present. In the crystal structure, extensive O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds involving acrH(+), the complex anion and uncoordinated water mol-ecules form a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, [Re(C10H6NO2)(CO)3{As(C6H5)3}], the coordination environment of Re(I) is that of a distorted octa-hedron. Three coordination sites are occupied by three carbonyl groups in a facial arrangement and the remaining three sites by tri-phenyl-arsane and deprotonated quinaldic acid in As-mono- and N,O-bidentate fashions, respectively. In the crystal, the complexes are linked through weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. It worth noting that, as far as we know, this complex is the first Re(I) tri-phenyl-arsane tricarbonyl compound to be reported.

Project description:In the title compound, [Re(C10H6NO2)(C7H11N)(CO)3], the Re(I) atom is coordinated by three carbonyl ligands in a facial arrangement and by the N, O and C atoms from a chelating quinaldate anion and a monodentate isocyanide ligand, respectively. The resultant C4NO coordination sphere is distorted octa-hedral. A lengthening of the axial Re-CO bond trans to the isocyanide ligand is indicative of the trans effect. Individual complexes are stacked into rods parallel to [001] through displaced π-π inter-actions. Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the rods lead to the formation of layers parallel to (010). These layers are stacked along [010] by C-H⋯H-C van der Waals contacts.

Project description:The three-dimensional title coordination polymer, {[Tb(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·H(2)O}(n), was hydro-thermally synthesized by reacting the corresponding rare-earth salt with pyridine-2,4,6-tricarb-oxy-lic acid (H(3)ptc). There are two independent Tb(III) atoms in the structure, one of which is nine-coordinated, forming a monocapped NO(8) square-anti-prism and the other is eight-coordinated exhibiting a 4,4-bicapped NO(7) trigonal-prismatic environment. The complex units are inter-connected through the ptc(3-) anions acting in different coordination modes, resulting in a three-dimensional coordin-ation polymer. The crystal structure features extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {[Sm(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·H(2)O}(n), contains two independent Sm(III) ions, two pyridine-2,4,6-tricarboxyl-ate (ptc) ligands, five aqua ligands and one lattice water mol-ecule. One Sm(III) ion is nine-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from the three ptc ligands and three aqua ligands in a distorted monocapped square antiprismatic geometry, and the other is eight-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from three ptc ligands and two aqua ligands in a 4,4'-bicapped trigonal anti-prismatic geometry. The ptc ligands brigde the Sm(III) ions into a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonding is observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Re(C(5)H(4)F(3)O(2))(C(5)H(5)N)(CO)(3)], the Re(I) atom is six-coordinated owing to bonding by three carbonyl ligands arranged in a fac configuration, two O atoms from the bidentate 1,1,1-trifluoro-acetyl-acetonate ligand and an N atom from a pyridine ligand. In the crystal, the mol-ecules pack in layers, diagonally, in a head-to-tail fashion across the ab plane. These layers are stabilsed by inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?F hydrogen bonds.

The coordination polyhedron of the Cu(2+) cation is a square-pyramid, with the aqua ligand at the apex. The compound exhibits a three-dimensional structure, which is is stabilized by O-H?O and O--H?N hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 2.987?(3)?Å].

Project description:In the binuclear centrosymmetric title compound, [In(2)(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·4H(2)O, which contains both pyridine-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate and 3-carb-oxy-pyridine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands, the In(III) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. One pyridine ligand is N,O-chelated while the other is N,O-chelated and at the same time bridging to the other via the second carboxyl group. In the crystal, an extensive O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding network, involving the coordinated and lattice water mol-ecules and the carboxyl groups of the ligands, together with C-H⋯O and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.793 (1) Å], leads to the formation of a three-dimensional structure.
