[2,6-Bis(di-tert-butyl-phosphinometh-yl)-phen-yl-?P,C,P'](nitrato-?O)nickel(II).

ABSTRACT: The Ni(II) atom in the title compound, [Ni(C(24)H(43)P(2))(NO(3))], adopts a distorted square-planar geometry with the P atoms in a trans arrangement. The compound contains a twofold rotational axis with the nitrate group offset from this axis, except for an O atom of the nitrate group, generating two positions of 50% occupancy for the other atoms of the nitrate group.

Project description:The title compound, C28H40N2, was obtained from the condensation reaction of 4-tert-butyl-2,6-di-methyl-aniline and butane-2,3-dione. The mol-ecule lies on an inversion centre. The C=N bond has an E conformation. The plane of the benzene ring is almost perpendicular to the 1,4-di-aza-butadiene mean plane [dihedral angle = 89.8 (9)°].

Project description:The Pd(II) atom in the title compound, [Pd(C(2)F(3)O(2))(C(24)H(43)P(2))], adopts a distorted square-planar geometry with the P atoms in a trans arrangement, forming two five-membered chelate rings. Four intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds occur. The crystal packing reveals one weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond, which self-assembles the mol-ecules into infinite chains parallel to the b axis.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title compound, C(64)H(62)N(4), the two phenyl-ethynyl groups lie at diagonal meso positions. The 24-membered porphyrin has in-plane distortion with respect to the mean plane of the macrocycle and two intra-ring bifurcated N-H?(N,N) hydrogen bonds occur. The dihedral angles between the phenyl rings in the phenyl-ethynyl group and the 3,5-bis-(tert-but-yl)phenyl group with respect to the mean plane of the porphyrin are 17.2?(2) and 59.2?(3)°. The tert-butyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.661?(13):0.339?(13) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(26)O(2), was easily obtained in high yield when 4-bromo-methyl-2,6-di-tert-butyl-phenol was reacted with methanol. There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The meth-oxy group in each of the independent mol-ecules was found to be disordered, with site-occupation factors of 0.8728?(18)/0.1272?(18) and 0.8781?(17)/0.1219?(17).
