ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Ni(C(14)H(10)N(4))(3)](4)(PO(4))(2)(SO(4)), consists of [Ni(C(14)H(10)N(4))(3)](2+) complex cations (.3. symmetry) and disordered anions ( symmetry) with occupancy factors of two-thirds for PO(4) (3-) and one-third for SO(4) (2-). The Ni(2+) centre is chelated by three bidentate 2,2'-bi-1H-benzimidazole mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral coordination. N-H?O hydrogen bonds consolidate the building units into a framework structure.

In the cation, the Co(II) atom is octa-hedrally coordinated by six N atoms from three 2,2'-bi-1H-imidazole ligands [Co-N bond lengths are in the range 2.084?(5)-2.133?(6)?Å]. Inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds form an extensive hydrogen-bonding network, which links cations and anions into a three-dimensional crystal structure.

Project description:The reaction of nickel salts and 4,4'-bipyridine with 2,2'-bi-imidazole (H(2)biim) yielded the title complex, [Ni(C(6)H(6)N(4))(3)](NO(3))(2)·C(3)H(7)NO. The Ni(II) atom is chelated by three H(2)biim ligands in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The two nitrate anions and one dimethyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecule are not coordinated. The compound has a three-dimensional structure, formed by extensive hydrogen bonding between [Ni(H(2)biim)(3)](2+) cations and nitrate anions, each nitrate anion forming hydrogen bonds with an R(1) (2)(4) motif. The DMF molecule is disordered over three sets of sites, with occupancy ratios of 0.341?(16):0.350?(17):0.309?(19).

Project description:The whole mol-ecule of the title compound, C(20)H(18)N(4)O(4), is generated by an inversion center. The benzimidazole ring mean plane make a dihedral angle of 89.4 (8)° with the plane passing through the acetate group (COO). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.743 (3) Å] involving inversion-related benzimidazole groups.

Project description:In the title salt, [Cu(NO(3))(C(7)H(6)N(2))(4)]NO(3), one nitrate anion is coordinated to the Cu(II) atom, which is also coordinated by the N atoms of four N-heterocycles. The geometry at the metal atom is a square pyramid in which the O atom of the anion occupies the apical position [Cu-O = 2.468?(5) and 2.590?(7)?Å in the two independent formula units]. The cation lies on a twofold rotation axis; the coordinated nitrate anion is also disordered about this symmetry element. The lattice anion is also disordered about a twofold rotation axis. It crystallizes with two half mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The complete mol-ecules are generated by inversion symmetry, with the center of the pyrazine rings being located at crystallographic centres of inversion. The ligand coordinates two NiII ions in a bis-penta-dentate manner and the sixfold coordination sphere of each nickel(II) atom (NiS2O3N) is completed by a water mol-ecule. The complex crystallized as a hepta-hydrate. The binuclear complexes are linked by Owater-H⋯Ocarbon-yl hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the (101) plane. This layered structure is additionally stabilized by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
