Project description:The Ti(IV) atom in the title compound, [Ti(C(9)H(5)ClNO)(2)(C(3)H(7)O)(2)], is chelated by the substituted quinolin-8-olate anions in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The N-donor atoms are in a cis alignment as are the O atoms of the propan-2-olate groups; the O atoms of the quinolin-8-olate groups are trans to each other. One C atom of one propan-2-olate group is disordered over two positions with occupancies of 0.733 (8):0.267 (8).

Project description:The Sn(IV) atom in the centrosymmetric dinculear title compound, [Sn(2)(CH(3))(2)(C(6)H(5))(2)(C(9)H(6)NO)(2)Cl(2)], shows a trans-C(2)SnNO(2)Cl distorted octa-hedral coordination [C-Sn-C = 157.83 (8)°]. The quinolin-8-olate anion chelates to the Sn atom; its O atom also binds to the inversion-related Sn atom, forming the dinuclear compound. In the crystal structure, weak inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding links the mol-ecules, forming supra-molecular chains running along [100].

Project description:The reaction of zinc acetate and 2-methyl-8-hydroxy-quinoline in methanol yielded the centrosymmetric dinuclear title compound, [Zn(2)(C(10)H(8)NO)(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)(CH(3)OH)(2)], which has the Zn atom within a distorted NO(4) trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. Methanol-acetate O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the dinculear units into a linear supra-molecular chain extending parallel to [100].
